With spring right around the corner, it’s time to get ready to open up those windows, let some fresh air in and refresh your home to welcome the new season. Move out of winter nesting mode by following these easy and simple tips from us!
Change Heavy Bedding, Throws, or Winter Pillows
Lighten up your space. Flannel sheets or faux fur throws were great to keep you cozy in the winter, but now that it’s getting warmer, it’s time to make your space feel light and airy. Try percale or sateen sheets that are more breathable. For your throw pillows, opt for ones that are in a neutral or a pastel colors tone such as lavender, pink, or shades of green.
A Fresh Coat of Paint or New Wallpaper
Nothing says getting ready for a new season than painting with a fresh coat of white paint on tired or old walls! Interior painting is a relatively inexpensive way to update your home and can make your home a more comfortable and happy place. So this spring, if you have a room or rooms that are painted an outdated color, or maybe they have too many scuff marks from when your kids were little, consider painting or adding new and exciting wallpaper this spring!
Adding Nature is a Must
Nothing says it’s springtime than some fresh flowers picked up from your local store or right from outside. Even if it still feels like winter outside, treating yourself to a beautiful bouquet of flowers to welcome the new season will make you feel oh-so-good! For a dramatic touch, add your large-scale vase to your kitchen island to spruce up your kitchen.
Update your Patio Furniture & Decor
You don’t need to undergo an entire patio renovation to make your patio feel new and refreshed, swap out old patio chairs for new ones or even just add new, bright throw pillows on top of existing furniture. Adding fun side tables, an egg chair, or maybe new lighting for increased ambiance is a great way to welcome spring weather.
